Meet a Farmer

Meet some of our amazing Queensland farmers

At its heart, the QCWA has vested almost a century of friendship, support, and education aimed at improving the lives of women and families living in regional, rural and remote areas of Queensland.

Our Meet A Farmer project builds on these agricultural beginnings, harnessing the network and knowledge of Association members, and developing relationships with producers within the agricultural food systems.

The project identifies QCWA members connected with farmers in their community, who are happy to showcase their farm, product and lifestyle.

Farmers can highlight seasonal produce and/or livestock, which will then be promoted by the QCWA Country Kitchens program at events, in recipes or general educational resources.

We hope by sharing the care and love that goes into producing Queensland food to delivering them to the plate, we are also fostering a local eating movement in regional, rural and remote areas.

Importantly we aim to increase fruit and vegetable consumption within communities.
